Abstract


Use of Collage Technique in Visual Art Teacher Candidates' Modern Painting Emotions: Action Research
The aim of the research is to demonstrate the contribution of the collage technique to the development of modern formal expression skills of pupils receiving painting education. Research has been designed in the form of an action research from qualitative research methods. The study was conducted for eight weeks. The data of the study, the student journals and the pictures of the students before, during and after the application were collected and evaluated by rubric. The findings of the research are based on observing that modern paintings in terms of rubric evaluations of the pictures they made with the collage technique have developed in terms of reflection from the intellectual and formal direction and are based on the descriptive analysis of diaries, interview dossiers and program evaluation forms. As a result of the research, the increase of the level of modern painting emulation was observed in the students' studies and it was determined that the awareness of students about the formal, intellectual structure of modern painting increased in the frame of originality, criticism and creativity.
