Abstract


Analysis of the First Fascicle of M. Crickboom Method in Violin Education
Methods created to be used for instrument education are intended to provide and improve skill-based (psycho-motor) behaviors of students. Since they involve a systematic structure, these methods are often used in violin education as a branch of musical instrument education. Entry-level first fascicle of M. Crickboom Method which is one of these methods is the subject of this research. In this research, violin playing techniques in the fascicle are examined, and analyzed the subjects; contents of the method in terms of learning, to which degree it includes the researches about right and left hand techniques required to play violin, and what are technical and musical specifications of exercises, etudes and songs used in this method. From qualitative research methods, the content analysis model was used in this study. The obtained data from this study was classified with charts. The qualitative research steps such as determination of category definition, finding themes, organization of codes and themes, the identification and interpretation of findings for classification was used.
