Abstract
AN EVALATION ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTEMPORARY SCIENCE EDUCATION AT ELEMANTARY SCHOOLS AND HOW THIS KIND OF SCIENCE TEACHING MUST BE
In this article, the importance of science teaching at elementary schools, its
facilities for children’s growing up and its aims have been pointed out by describing
science teaching. It has been tried to respond the question; that how science teaching
and science teachers should be, by taking these things into consideration; for example
children’s growth periods, teaching-learning strategies, teaching programmes and their
teachers, in order to reach these aims. However, it has been stated that people need the
basic science education so that they can comprehend and comment on technologic
changes by pointing out the relationship between science and technology at nowadays in
which technology develops with an unbelievable speed. And how an effective and
permanent science should be has been emphasized. It is concluded that an evaluation
about how the contemporary science education and how its teachers should be, has been
done and some advises have been given for reaching the general aims science teaching.
